Empowering the Global Diaspora Through Strategic Investments
At CCIG, we are dedicated to creating sustainable Wealth for our diaspora clients by providing access to strategic investments. We deliver strong returns while empowering our investors and the communities we serve.
The Journey - From Humble Beginnings to Leading Investments
Since our founding in 2007, CCIG has grown from a small investment club into a leading investment company, empowering the global diaspora with high-growth opportunities in various investments. Here’s a look at our journey so far:
Founding & Strategic Rebrand
In 2007, a group of 22 professionals formed the Kenya Capital Investment Group [KCIG] to create wealth for the diaspora community focusing on securities investment only. After a successful first year, the group rebranded to Continental Capital Investment Group [CCIG], expanding its focus to include real estate in the porrtfolio.
Diversification into Real Estate
In 2010, CCIG implemented its diversification strategy by acquiring a 19-acre plot in Mount View, Machakos County. This marked the start of CCIG's successful foray into real estate, with the investment achieving a 659% capital growth to date.
Entry into Securities
Alongside real estate, CCIG formalised its entry into the securities market, offering shareholders diversified portfolios through the Nairobi Securities Exchange [NSE], and the Rwanda Stock Exchange [RSE].
Restructuring & Growth
With the assistance of Tripleoklaw Advocates, CCIG underwent a major restructuring, transitioning from an investment club to a limited liability company with 15 shareholders. This included adopting a Shareholders' Agreement, a revised Memorandum and Articles of Association, and a governing Board Charter.
UVS Decommissioning
Decommissioning of the Unit Valuation System [UVS] as the business moved from a unit valuation to a fully fledged shareholder model. Share holders allocated shares in the business to align with their capital investment accumulated over the year.
Leveraging National Infrastructure Projects
CCIG capitalized on Kenya's infrastructure boom, investing in strategic locations along the LAPSSET Corridor and Standard Gauge Railway [SGR]. These investments have positioned CCIG for future growth and development; with returns to date of 189%
The Right Partners
In order to ensure the right infrastructure, the business needed to upgrade its professional partners. This was achieved by appointing a new Accounting firm [Anchinga & Associates], Legal Firm [Nyauchi & Company Advocates], and Company Secretary [A K Ndumu Advocates].
Strategic Share Buy-Back
Demonstrating financial strength and a commitment to delivering shareholder value, CCIG completed a strategic share buy-back of all minority shareholders, consolidating ownership to 5 major shareholders and reaffirming confidence in its long-term vision.
Revised Strategic Plan
To focus on the future growth CCIG launched new strategy focusing on land plot splitting, digital assets, private equity and other income generating investment avenues aimed at building a more balanced portfolio [c.KES 300m by 2030] for the streamlined shareholding.
Building the future of Investment
At CCIG, we envision a future where the global diaspora is empowered to achieve financial independence through innovative, sustainable, and high-growth investment opportunities via a risk based approach. By 2030, we aim to:
